Washing

• Use cool to lukewarm water with a specialist cashmere or wool detergent.
• Immerse the garment and gently squeeze—never rub or wring.
• Rinse thoroughly in fresh, cool water.

For modern convenience, our knitwear may also be washed on a delicate wool cycle with cold water in a protective laundry bag. Always use the gentlest setting your machine offers.

Drying

Cashmere deserves time and care to dry naturally.

• Lay the garment flat on a clean towel in its natural shape.
• Roll the towel gently to remove excess water.
• Reshape carefully, then lay flat on a dry towel away from direct heat or sunlight.

Never tumble dry. Excess heat can damage the delicate fibres irreversibly.

Storage

Store your Hawico cashmere folded in a cool, dry space to help it retain its perfect shape.

• Avoid hanging, which may stretch the knit.
• For seasonal storage, place garments in breathable cotton or linen bags.
• Use natural moth repellents such as cedar balls or lavender sachets to protect against damage.

Pilling

• Gently remove pills with a specialist cashmere comb or fabric shaver.
• Over time, with careful maintenance, your garment will develop an even softer, more refined finish.
